We hope to playfully develop an Alphabet of Love to explore the central concept in Christianity: Caritas, Love. Each week we will post a reflection upon one single word, ordered from Αlpha to Omega. These are envisioned as short notes searching for what is at stake in this central Christian idea of what it means to be human: to love and be loved. We hope these reflections will not only enquire after love's rigor, but also its problematic implications as well.  We thus propose to 'think' about love:  not merely a phrasing of thoughts, but a process of unbinding them in order to bring them back to that mental activity of 'trial and error' which is thinking.

And doing so on a blog implies inviting others – you, for instance – to intervene, and to share in this game of gift and counter-gift.
